YAY FOR CAP!
Yes! I have finally found my favourite part in the book . It has a mikchare of yay for Cap and a big pourchiun of the bad guy is almost deffeted . Bad guy is aka [Zach Powers].Where you can find my favourite part is at page 123 starting at ''Those filtered rays were shining now on the haystack of Sasquatch hair .My favourite part ends at Hugh Winkleman . This is my favourite part because in there Cap finally makes it all the way up to the popular group after being a great person to everyone els and now at lunch he eat's at Zach's lunch spot at the popular table .It's also great to because Zach got his own lunch all over him . Fanilly he get's a taste of his own medicine. Oh I would love to say that to his face if I could be in the book . There is one off side to my favourite part now that Cap's with the popular group Hugh and Cap won't be real friends . Even though I must say Hugh wasn't really much of a friend because he was really only with Cap because he felt sorry because Cap was voted president and that really sucked being president in the 8 grade in that school . If you think this was a good part in the story then say so . Thanks!!

ReplyDeleteI totaly agree because I liked how you said a taste of his own medicin because it is completly true! but my other favourite part is his tye die the art techer liked it too. like when she says" i havn't done this since collage so I am guessing that in the 60's she was in collage. I t is weird how stuff comes back in style. Like skinny jeans they were populare that they wern't now they are. I can't wait to read the rest of the book

I agree with you and Sarah too. I think that Zach completely deserved everything that happened to him from spilling his lunch all over him and Cap sitting in his seat at the lunch table. I thought that Hugh Winklemen was nice at the beginning but then when he got jelous and planned to hurt Cap with Zach i thought that he wasn't so nice anymore. I agree with you about that part being on e of my favourite parts in the book. Can't wait to read the rest of the book and i am excited about the group meeting tomorrow.-Sarah W
ReplyDeleteThis might not relate completely to what you posted at the top Emily but I think that most of it will. I like the part on page 66 when Zach and Naomi pranked Cap by locking him up on the roof because of they part when Cap didn't get really angry like Zach hoped he would he stayed calm and cool. Which made it seem like Zach and Naomi got pranked just as much as he did. "What's the point of pranking someone if the prank's on you just as much on him?"
ReplyDeleteI started to realize that Hugh was not as nice as he was at the beginning of the book on page 70 when he said/thought that this year was one of the best because he wasn't getting bullied (because Cap was there and so everyone was pranking Cap not Hugh) and he liked it that way and he wanted it to stay that way. Which says something about his character. It says that he was mean because he was using Cap to make his life better.
I thought it was good when people started he help him plan the halloween dance. I thought that meant that they were starting to like him better, which is always a good sign.
During the whole book I realized that Cap always took everything so literally and that can sometimes lead to trouble. I also thought that it was good that he was trying really hard to learn everyone's names.
On page 94 I read a really good quote that I think relates to the whole world around us. "When you spend you life worrying about money, pretty soon money BECOMES your life."
ON page 99 I thought that when it said that there was not one spitball in Caps hair I thought that was a good sigh which meant that people were starting to accept him and think that he is actually a good guy.
I think that Cap still needs to understand that he can't keep giving away the school money like that because it is supposed to go to the school dance and if he keeps giving away 1000$ checks (not saying that giving money to charity is a bad thing) he will run out of money and he wouldn't be able to put on the school dance.
I think that Darryl is actually is a good person because even though he punched Cap it was really meant for Zach he said after wards that he was really sorry about both the things that he did to Cap and he also said "I was never going to forgive myself." I think this means that he likes Cap and he was sorry about what he did to Cap when he first came to school and now he thinks that he is a good person and he wants to be his friend.
Thank you for reading this!

Yes I would agree that Zack should get a taste of his own medicine, I think that Hugh was'nt Cap's freind also because Hugh was jealous of Cap getting all the attention and Cap is being the most popular guy in eigth grade and I'm not saying Cap is mean...
ReplyDeleteI feel happy for Cap that he is finally at the top of the charts after being nothing but kind and caring to everyone else.At the same time I disagree with everyone, because I think Zach is just mean because he is insecure.Maybe he doesn't really have a passion so being popular is really important to him, maybe he has lost something special to him so being popular and mean is something to cover up his sadness.I remember that in Toy Story 3,Lotso the bear had an owner named Daisy,Daisy also had two other favourite toys,Chuckles the clown, and Big Baby, the baby. One day Daisy had a picnic, she fell asleep and then left them there. The three toys made a journey back to Daisy's house only to find Lotso had been replaced,he was angry, something snapped that day,if he coudn't have Daisy, nobody could. He lead the three toys away to Sunnyside daycare, and he was mean to all the other toys who were there. This reminds me of Zach in Schooled.
